*** For your convenience, those items listed in BOLD GREEN are the items that are available to order this shopping cycle.

We Have azolla, available for you!  This is the smallest fern, and it is a tiny floating plant.  Aside form just being a novelty, and pretty, it is highly useful for many things and SOOOO EASY to grow! We have Azolla caroliniana, which is native to the USA

$6.00       Your 1/2 cup of azolla will come in a container of water.  It will also be accompanied by a 1/2 cup bag of pure worm castings to add to the water it is growing in, for a good start.

Here is why you need some!

  • It is truly sustainable!
  • Grow it in any container or water, and harvest by scooping some off the top.  It will regenerate itself and re-cover the area in 2-3 days!

It is excellent feed for:

Fish, rabbits, chickens, quail, ducks, goats, guinea pigs, pigs, turtles, other reptiles, turkeys, cows, crickets    …………high in protein and other nutrients. Low lignin, so is highly digestible.

And Humans can eat it to…

If you are a gardener – you can grow it and then just add it to your garden as a green manure.  It fixes nitrogen from the air, so as a green manure, you are getting a great soil amendment. You really  can grow your own fertilizer, and it is beautiful while growing!

Mosquito control – if you have a pond or standing water, you can grow azolla on that water, which covers the water’s surface, so mosquitos cannot reproduce in the water.

Pond Fish – it is a natural food

It is used to clean water sources.
