Meal Worms – Live
500 mealworms $10.60
Mealworms are a high quality feed for chickens, quail, reptiles, sugar gliders, hedge hogs, turtles, fish, pigs. I have live mealworms available, which can be kept live, refrigerated or frozen for your pet food needs. We raise our mealworms on cornmeal, and spent barley grain from a local brewery, carrot, cucumber peel, and potato peel. These are the same mealworms we feed to our own farm livestock. We sell either as just mealworms, or as starter kits for those who want to begin raising mealworms on their own Starter kits. Starter kits consist of about 1/2 cup of bedding full of freshly laid and hatching eggs, 250+ mealworms of various sizes, 10+ breeding adults and pupa that are about to transform into adults. Some pupa may turn to beetles during shipment. Add cornmeal, halved potato and slice of bread. That’s it. If anyone wants to buy larger quantities, please contact me for prices and availability. Mealworms are typically 20% protein.
